About Viktorija Isic

I’m a strategist, operator, and systems thinker — shaped by legal precision, refined in global finance, and now dedicated to building ethical frameworks for artificial intelligence.

Early Foundations in Law & Venture Capital

My career began in legal research and international contract negotiation, where I developed a deep respect for structure, transparency, and the rule of law. That foundation led me to venture capital, where I worked with a New York-based investment firm specializing in the secondary market for late-stage private technology companies approaching IPO. I assessed opportunities across emerging sectors — from fintech and renewable energy to telecom and enterprise tech — gaining an insider’s view of innovation at its most fragile and most promising.

Leadership in Global Finance

I later joined the financial leadership ranks of Fortune 500 companies, managing P&L responsibilities, leading cross-border operations, and translating complex data into actionable strategy.
It was in these roles that I saw how large-scale decisions can influence entire markets — and how legacy systems often replicate inequality, particularly for women in leadership.

From Mentorship to Systems Thinking

At a critical point in 2020, I launched a nonprofit platform supporting women in career transition. What began as a mentorship and community-building initiative quickly evolved into a global learning ecosystem — helping women lead confidently across borders, industries, and cultural contexts. But over time, I came to a deeper truth: mentorship alone can’t fix systems designed to exclude.

Bias is not just interpersonal — it’s infrastructural.

To change outcomes, we have to rearchitect the system itself.

Why AI?

That insight led me to the world of artificial intelligence — where we have a rare opportunity to rebuild how decisions are made, how systems are governed, and who they’re designed to serve.

It’s not just a technological revolution — it’s a moral and societal one.

Where I Focus Now

Today, I work at the intersection of AI ethics, governance, and global impact.
I’ve contributed to high-integrity projects at Google AI, Meta AI, OpenAI, and Scale AI — engagements that demand both principled judgment and operational precision.

My focus is on aligning advanced technologies with human values, regulatory foresight, and systems that serve society — not just scale.

I specialize in identifying flawed systems, decoding their architecture, and reimagining them with transparency, accountability, and ethical foresight.

I approach this work with clarity, conviction, and an unwavering belief that technology must advance equity — not entrench exclusion.
